Al Porto in Friedrichshafen

It's not that exclusive here either. Service so slow it can't be compared to anything. Yes, of course there is a lot going on here on nice days, but there were also a lot of service employees on site and if it is not enough, call 1 or 2 more. Sometimes people who have missed out on orders are served at all. Since the prices are not exactly low, you can really expect more.

The ambience would be nice IF you WERE served ...

Very nice restaurant with very friendly staff. You have to be here and experience the view and the goings-on on the bank. Even when the weather is a bit mixed, you can sit comfortably under the arcades here

Cozy Italian. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Very nice staff. Lake Constance is right in front of the restaurant.

What can you say ..... well, price-performance ratio doesn't match! Quality, cakes and coffee here, are just average. Better to go to another location.

Was really annoyed yesterday after my visit there. We had to eat our food without drinks, get the cutlery ourselves and the parmesan after being asked didn't come either. When we asked the service staff about it when paying, there was an almost reproachful "Brother, I'm alone here". Definitely don't go there anymore. I wanted to have a nice dinner and was in a bad mood afterwards.

On the topic that moves everyone. Corona list was only available on request when leaving the bar. Several guests who came after us and left earlier did not leave any data. Were not asked to do so by the staff. A table with 15 people !!! was not asked to fill out anything! So this is the next hotspot for us. Welcome to Friedrichshafen. Therefore only 1 star because no star is impossible. I only evaluate food, drink and ambience when those responsible take their responsibility for the Corona issue.

I award the star for the location. The rest of the place was unfortunately not good We had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks. When we reported to pay the waitress ran around for another 10 minutes and continued to take orders and cashed at other tables.

Handling of personal data absolutely unacceptable. We had the note that you have to fill out at Corona times completely filled out with address and mobile phone number at the table. When we then paid and left the note was still not taken by the waitress. We then saw how the next guests were already sitting at the table and the note with our personal data was still on the table. Unfortunately, we didn't look at the reviews on google before our visit to this restaurant. Now that we have done that, I trust the restaurant that the note with our personal data was left at the table for everyone to enter for a longer time.

The location is great to enjoy the sunset. Gintonic and salad were ok but the tarte flambée wasn't that good.

80 minutes waiting time for 1x Bruschetta and 1x Flammkuchen. We only received our food when asked. The wine was good, but not chilled, the Cuba Libre mixed with stale cola. When asked why it took so long, they said: 'The cook is not in a good mood today'. During the long wait, the waitress asked us if she could clear away the decorations. Really a shame, because the only thing that is really beautiful here is the location.

Delicious breakfast, excellent lunch and cozy relaxed dinner ... ideal for enjoying and relaxing. Very attentive and courteous service!

We went to this bar about two weeks ago. My wife and I were on holiday with our two year old daughter. We sat down outside and were ignored for 20 minutes. People were arriving later than us and getting served before. When we finally ordered it took another 15 minutes to get our drinks when the waitress bought them she had made a mistake. She had bought a large wine rather than the small we had ordered for my wife. When we politely pointed this out she replied "it is your mistake as this wine only comes in one size. I showed her their own menu which clearly showed the small size. Rather than apologising, the waitress just walked off and took the wine with her. Another long wait until the correct drink arrived. When we received the bill we had been charged for a large wine. When we again very politely pointed this out, the waitress rolled her eyes up at my wife. This rather annoyed me and I told the waitress that rather than being annoyed with us, we should be annoyed with them. She simply snatched the correct money from us and stormed off. We have never received such disgusting service for any bar or restaurant that we have been to anywhere in the world before. We definitely will never return.

20 minutes until you could order at all, another 20 until the drinks came and a total of 70 minutes until the food was on the table - that was terrible and much too overpriced. Unfriendly waitresses, drinks were cleared even though they weren't empty. Corona regulations were also not observed. The waitresses were all without a mask

We were on breakfast. I have not eaten worse for a long time .... The lettuce was already old, the rolls were hard. I asked a hard-boiled egg and I got soft and do not peel him from the shell. Salami was cut too much. The staff do not wear a mask! I wanted to leave but my husband threw me and said that we just do not come next time. The restaurant on the lake should have a standard.

Very bad service for a quite expensive place

Food is delicious, nice selection of wines and drinks in general. At peak times (12 a.m. / 6 p.m.) you shouldn't necessarily want to drink coffee there spontaneously - alternatively: just come a little earlier. The staff has always been very friendly to me

There would be potential ... The location is great, you can sit both inside and outside very nicely (with a view of the lake). The price-performance ratio is okay. It would be great if it weren't for the, in my opinion, poor service. Friendliness is sought here for free and nothing else is looked after according to the wishes of the guests. We were served the drink, after which the condition was no longer apparent. We finally went inside to pay after a waiting time of about 20 minutes, where we were approached unkindly as to whether we had informed the table. I will go somewhere else again next time.

When we arrived with 6 people, we received 1 card. We asked if there were more cards. The lady who helped us said she had nothing more. Okay then, then take a look around the neighborhood, we thought. But all around us on the empty tables were cards. This one caught. Went a little smoother. No excuse that she was mistaken, no just act as if nothing is wrong. We ordered 5 cocktails and a cappuccino, well that took 15 minutes. And the cappuccino was lukewarm. Price is normal but at this kind of service it is just expensive. Next time I will definitely grab a bar next to it.

Unfortunately, we were not able to eat, because the only service woman was so stressed that we couldn't order twenty minutes after our arrival. It seemed really hectic and a little chaotic and we got the impression that there is way to few staff personnel to handle the amount of guests. Further they do not offer seating next to lake, but only directly in front of the restaurant, approximately 20 meters away from the lake.

Unfortunately we had to be satisfied with lukewarm coffees. The waiting times for the food were impossible. When asked when the food was ready we were rudely informed that we weren't waiting that long ... there were already 40 minutes. What good is a nice view if the mood is extremely disturbed by the waiters.

The food was decent but there is a waiter there who really hate foreigners and treated us really bad we were a group of 7 people from 7 different countries. He even tipped him self without even asking!!! worst experience ever in Germany :(

The Al Porto is located in the area of ​​the harbor promenade of Friedrichshafen. Parking is available in the immediate vicinity in the underground car park. The cocktails sometimes too much ice and too little taste (alcohol, juices, other) used. But the prices are quite reasonable (sarcasm) ...

Beautiful, cosy and romantic place to sit down and lunch.. Great coffee and cake 😍

The food was good, simple. Service was indifferent, lacking. Music was trying too hard.

The place is really decent and very elegantly decorated. The staff have a very professional behaviour. You can find good tables for just 2 or a group of 15 or more. The drinks cost average as in other bars. If you are going on a date or to taking your colleagues on a dinner then this would be one of the choices. The other important thing is, if you are expecting too much of crowd and a lot of noise, then this is not the place. However crowdy the place is, there is still place for everyone and the place is mostly quite with everyone involved in their own conversations in a low voice.

Terrible service, average food... unfriendly atmosphere, don’t let your hunger make you make a bad decision.

You can sit in the sun facing the lake or indoors. Friendly staff and spacious indoor sitting area.

quite nice place to sit, relax, have a drink and something to eat. Somebody claims the service pace, but who would be rushing in place where you would like to relax?

Flammkuchen were ok, not great but good enough for me. But the service was really bad. I wouldn’t recommend, that was a frustrating experience for us.

Service here was particularly bad and the hamburger i got was mediocre. The location is beautiful though.
